Abstract

Serum lmmunoglubulins (lg) from a bovine leukosis virus (BLV) antibody positive bull were separated by gel filtration on Sephadex G-200 and identified as to class by double diffusion in the agar gel immunodiffusion test with class specific antisera. The fractions containing IgM and IgG were tested for completement-fixing activity to BLV antigens. The IgG fractions had higher concentrations of complement-fixing antibodies tan IgM fractions, but both clases of Ig appeared to have complement-fixing antibody activity to BLV antigens.
