Resumen

Stimbiotic is a functional class of feed additive that optimizes the use of dietary fiber, accelerating the establishment of the microbiome to be more efficient in fiber fermentation. The objective of this trial was to evaluate the effect of the feed additive Signis, replacing other microbiome modulating additives, on the performance of broiler chickens. Two trials were carried out, in the Experimental Facilities of an Colombian Customer, duration of 35 days with different source of fiber used, the first being Corn DDGS and the second with Regular Rice Bran. 1716 1-day-old male broiler chicks of the Ross AP308 were used. These broilers were distributed in 36 boxes with 11 birds/m², housing 25 birds per box/12 boxes per treatments. The experimental design used was completely randomized with 3 treatments and 12 replications for each/experiment. The treatments was: Treat 1 Positive Control (Regular Customer Diet - without any inclusion of Signis and DDGS or Rice Bran), Treat 2 Feed with DDGS or Rice Bran since the initial phase + Signis (AB Vista) in 100g/ton (100 kcal/kg in the additive matrix) between 0 to 35 days old, Treat 3 Feed with DDGS or Rice Bran only in the growth phase (inclusion of 0 % in 0 at 21 days old and 10 % DDGS or Rice Bran in 22 at 35 days old) + Signis (AB Vista) in 100 g/ton (100 kcal/kg in the additive matrix) between 22 to 35 days old. All the experimental data were submitted to analysis of variance, using the SAS/9. All diets were based on corn and soybean meal (vegetarian diets with growth promoting antibiotics) + corn DDGS (according to the data described above). The nutritional requirements was based in Brazilian Table (UFV 2017). In 21 days of age, the inclusion of DDGS generated a higher conversion (P<0,05) but without visible effect at 35 days old. Results were similar between both treatments (P>0,05), for weight gain and FCR. For Rice Bran trial, was observed a reduction (P<0,05) in performance at 28 and 35 days old, which also a negative impact on the EPEF (P<0,05). The difference in performance between the evaluations (DDGS × Traditional Rice Bran) was possibly due to the difference between the participation of dietary fiber present in the ingredients, which may have resulted in different fermentative effects for Signis. However, the use of Signis in DDGS evaluation could maintain performance, but with a cost US$ 0,063 and 0,047/bird lower for treatment 2 and 3 (respectively) if we compare treatment 1.
